Recipe contains dairy, gluten, and animal products (if you want to keep the cookies vegetarian, use vegan sprinkles).

Ingredients/What You Will Need

  • 1 x large baking tray
  • Baking paper
  • Al foil
  • Stand/hand mixer (I used my KitchenAid)
  • Sieve
  • 2 x large bowls
  • Spatula/wooden spoon
  • Ice cream / cookie scoop
  • 1 and 1/2 cups of plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Dash of salt
  • 120 grams butter (unsalted)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 x bag of Christmas M&M’s (165grams)
  • Christmas Sprinkles (about 1/4 cup)

Method

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180 C or 350 F. Line a large baking tray with al foil and baking paper.
  2. In a bowl, sift in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl (I used the one attached to my stand mixer), cream butter and two sugars. Once combined, add in vanilla and egg.
  4. On low speed, slowly add in the dry flour mixture
  5. Mix in M&M’s.
  6. Place sprinkles in a shallow bowl.
  7. With your cookie dough mixture, roll it into balls with your cookie dough scoop, then press into sprinkles and place onto the baking tray. Balls should be about 1 tablespoon in size (but don’t worry too much if they’re not perfect).
  8. Bake cookies for 10 – 11 minutes.
  9. Place cookies on wire rack to cool.
  10. Enjoy.

Serving Suggestion: Pair with a warm glass of milk or hot chocolate. You could even warm the cookies up in the microwave for 20 seconds. YUM.

Let me know if you try these! You can always double the recipe if you need more or add in some milk/white chocolate chips for more chocolate.
