The other week, Luke and I celebrated what we call “Possum Day,” which is the anniversary of our first ever date. My Review
Luke and I ended up getting a lot of share plates/grazing food, but it was a decent amount of food, and we also got dessert, which we didn’t need at all. My favourite part was the desserts because they were WAY bigger than I expected and I thought they were well priced for the size. Usually, with a dessert it’s small and expensive. The ice cream and sorbets tasted home made and I hate to say this, but their cookies and cream ice cream was way better than mine (but hey, mine’s still good).
The staff were really friendly, but it took a while for our drinks to come out and no one brought us any water – that could have been our fault though, we didn’t ask and we weren’t sure if there was a “grab your own” water section like some pubs do. I LOVED the burrata salad, it was super fresh and gave me a longing for summer. The pizza bread and dips were a bit average, fries were yummy and crunchy, and the chicken wings were quite spicy, in a good way, and there were so many wings for the share plate – definitely worth the extra $. AND THE BEST THING ABOUT ALL THIS FOOD IS THAT IT DIDN’T CAUSE ANY IBS ISSUES FOR ME.
The pros of this pub for me were: dog-friendly, random people talked to us because we had a corgi, staff said hello to Benji, and great desserts. The cons were that the drinks took ages and it’s more on the expensive side. I think next time we go here, we’ll get the main means instead. They also seem to have an extensive vego/vegan range, so it’ll be interesting to try some of that stuff too. I want to try the burgers next.
Would be a great little spot in summer after work with your pup to have a bevvy. And it’s super local to us so I think we’ll be going here again once the weather warms up.
Here’s some photos

Do you have any dog-friendly pubs you would recommend? Let me know in the comments! It doesn’t have to be in Melbourne.
