Ingredients/What You Will Need

  • Ice cream maker
  • 2L airtight container
  • Saucepan
  • 2 and 1/2 cups water (split)
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup limoncello liqueur
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon

Method

  1. Prior to making, freeze your ice cream maker bowl overnight
  2. In a saucepan, gently heat 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar until dissolved
  3. Remove from heat, stir in lemon zest. Rest for about 10-15 minutes
  4. Stir in the rest of the water (1 and a 1/2 cups), lemon juice, and liqueur
  5. Churn in ice cream maker for about 20 – 25 minutes (the alcohol won’t freeze)
  6. Place in an air tight container and freeze for 6+ hours (consistency may vary)
  7. Before serving, leave out for 10 minutes
  8. Enjoy!

I’m having so much fun with my ice cream maker!! This sorbet turned out more like a snow cone but I think that’s still a success!
