Limoncello Sorbet Recipe

Ingredients/What You Will Need
- Ice cream maker
- 2L airtight container
- Saucepan
- 2 and 1/2 cups water (split)
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup limoncello liqueur
- 1 cup lemon juice
- Zest of 1 lemon
Method
- Prior to making, freeze your ice cream maker bowl overnight
- In a saucepan, gently heat 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar until dissolved
- Remove from heat, stir in lemon zest. Rest for about 10-15 minutes
- Stir in the rest of the water (1 and a 1/2 cups), lemon juice, and liqueur
- Churn in ice cream maker for about 20 – 25 minutes (the alcohol won’t freeze)
- Place in an air tight container and freeze for 6+ hours (consistency may vary)
- Before serving, leave out for 10 minutes
- Enjoy!
I’m having so much fun with my ice cream maker!! This sorbet turned out more like a snow cone but I think that’s still a success!
